Last November 17 2025, I had the privilege to present my pivot work and recently published article "A Personal Attempt to Note Down Migrant Precarity in Flemish Belgium: The Other is (Always) Angry at the Scalabrini Migration Center, Inc.'s Migration Conversations.

SMC's Migration Conversations is a space for sharing research and dialogue with local and international migration stakeholders.

Sincere gratitude to Scalabrini Migration Center, Inc.'s team, especially to its Director, Dr. Maruja Asis for the opportunity. It was profound to flesh out my work in relation to Filipino (labor) migration with colleagues coming from government, non-government, and academic sectors. There is a lot of work to do within migration, and it's inspiring to know that very dedicated people and collectives are collaborating on it.
