It was a privilege to share my ongoing PhD work with fellow migration scholars at The Migration Conference 2024 held at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. I wouldn’t be here without the support of Research Unit-Image of LUCA School of Arts/ KU Leuven.

There is so much work to do. We need more hands. More voices. More activism. More informed and humane policies. More empathy.

The emergency is now. We might get angry, but we must keep pushing through against contemporary divisive, anti-humane powers.
